The airport express Alliance
Airport Express is the sales and marketing alliance for the Gatwick Express and Heathrow Express services.
Within the travel industry each of the train services deals with the same agents, hotels, airlines and travel management companies. The alliance was created in 2000 when Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express and Stansted Express rail air links joined forces to provide one point of contact for all of our trade partners. However, in June 2006, the sales and marketing management for the Stansted Express was taken back into the ‘one’ railway franchise and is no longer part of the Airport Express Alliance.
The Airport Express alliance gives benefits to its trade partners by consolidating all the sales and marketing contacts for each of the train companies into one organisation. Whether calling about Gatwick Express or Heathrow Express, travel agents can make one call to one number. Similarly marketing enquiries regarding brochure inclusion or specific joint promotions can be just as simple.
Having spent three years talking to the travel industry about all the services and specifically about how the alliance can help the booking process, this website is the latest in a series of developments to ensure the travel trade partners can get the most from their relationship with Airport Express.
